Eventually he managed the wool-buying agencies frequently travelling to Sydney and Melbourne. From 1900 onwards he published short stories, written in French, set in Australia. He published his only book in English " Diary of a New Chum" in 1908 at Melbourne under the pseudonym Paul Warrego. £600.00
